Liberty Tree Consulting & Strategy was founded by Stephen B. Stepanek in 2015. 

Stephen Stepanek began his political career as an Amherst town selectman in the 80s and 90s in the state of New Hampshire. He went on to co-chair the Amherst Ways & Means Committee before being elected to the New Hampshire state legislature. He served five terms as a state representative, including tenures as the Vice Chairman of the Commerce Committee, House Minority Whip, Chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee, and Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives. 

After concluding his work in the House of Representatives, he was appointed by the Trump Administration as Regional Administrator of the GSA - Region 1 in Boston, Massachusetts in 2018. 

Concluding his time in the federal government, he then went on to be elected as the Chairman of the NH GOP for two terms, from 2019 to 2023. 

While pursuing his personal political career, Stephen supported several presidential campaigns within the State of New Hampshire. He was appointed as the Co-Chair of the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Campaign for New Hampshire in 2008. He also supported and advised the Mitt Romney campaign in 2012.

In 2015, Stephen became one of the earliest supporters of President Trump. He held a meet and greet at his home for Donald Trump, where he announced the establishment of an exploratory committee for his bid for the United States Presidency. 

Later that year, Stephen Stepanek became the first elected official to publicly endorse President Trump. He went on to become the Co-Chair of President Trump's first presidential campaign for New Hampshire in 2016. As co-chair, he helped the President secure his first primary win. 

In June of 2016, Stephen founded the Pine Tree Public Policy Institute with William L. O'Brien, the former NH Speaker of the House. Pine Tree Public Policy sponsors the bi-monthly Right of Center meetings in New Hampshire. It is affiliated with Americans for Tax Reform organization, founded by Grover Norquist.

Beginning in 2019, Stephen supported President Trump's 2020 re-election campaign while he served as the Chairman of the NH GOP. 

For Trump's third bid for presidency, Stephen chose to not seek a third term for the NH GOP Chairman position. He instead accepted a position as Senior Advisor to President Trump's 2024 presidential campaign.

Stephen represented Trump as a delegate for the Republican National Convention in 2016, 2020 and 2024.

Since Trump's successful re-election as President of the Unites States, Stephen has continued working with the White House and Capital Hill in an unofficial capacity.

Stephen has been featured on television networks including Fox News, MSBNC, C-SPAN, and WMUR. 

In print, he has been featured and covered in The Washington Post, The New York Times, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, MSNBC, Fox News, CBS, Politico, NBC, PBS and Union Leader.

In 1978, Stephen founded his first business, Hampshire Paper Corporation. As President & CEO, he went on to develop the business into a successful paper converting company with 160+ employees and production of 50 tons of product per day. After over 25 years, he exited and sold the business. 

He then started White Cliff Realty, where he owned and operated commercial real estate in the state of NH. He expanded White Cliff Realty to include several other business branches, including White Cliff Communications, which focused on the zoning development, construction and management of cell towers, and White Cliff Technology, which focused on energy sector patented technology.

Throughout his business career, Stephen has been issued a number of patents for various technologies he developed.

In 2014, Stephen co-founded RegDOX Solutions, a patented high security software company. The company provides solutions for the storage, management, and collaboration of data such as ITAR, DFARS, CUI, HIPPA and more. 

Stephen has held memberships with the Rotary Club of America and the Knights of Columbus.
